Under the motto «We become more from what is left, deliver else than just the now, build sound stories for the then», Sediments is the new label and sonic adventure launched by Estrato Aurora and d_o_ppelgaenger, partners in the electronic duo Pajaro Dune.d_o_ppelgaenger || aka David Ortolà || is a pianist, composer, electronic music producer, teacher and scholar specializing in contemporary music and electroacoustic composition and performance. As a solo artist, he has composed multiple electronic, ambient and techno works, modular scores as Grooves #1 (2017) and Déjà vu (2024), unique musical events such as Efímeras for 20 Pianos (2011), compositions for piano and electronics as well as his latest release Live at Perpendicular (2024).Live at Perpendicular 2024 is Sediment's inaugural offering. Recorded May 25, 2024 by d_o_ppelgaenger at Perpendicular Festival in the woods of Cuenca, Spain, this album is both an ambient live set and a sound journey inspired in the Doppelgänger archetype from the early gothic novel.d_o_ppelgaenger's signature chiaroscuro medley of styles and ideas relies on narrative sound design, using both electronic production, classical instrumentation, field recording and generative synthesis. His music challenges the boundaries between acoustic and electronic sound calling on a wide range of oft-conflicting aesthetics: from early music to soundtrack atmospheres or disruptive avant-garde trends. Jaime is an old acquaintance of the label as he is a member of Pajaro Dune with David Ortolá who were who kicked off the label in 2017. The EP Margen is a turning point in the label since you will not find only deep techno, which until now had been the characteristic sound of Alpenglühen. In this fourth reference you will find downtempo, halftime, breaks, even ambient, and of course some touches of profound techno that make this reference the most heterogeneous and also one of the wealthiest of the series. Of course, while still exploring the thin line that separates light from darkness.

The machinic rapture of Van Boom’s debut album, ‘Prosthetics’, firmly planted the Kuwaiti artist in the underground of critical producers that stoke grisly and inhuman themes. Set against the backdrop of the Gulf Region, these themes remain exceptionally nefarious. His latest release, the ‘NUBORNE’ EP, mounts wider explorations of the eviscerating sonic grounds that he began to depict with his first long-playing document.Gestured with the EP’s title, ‘NUBORNE’ stakes its significance on regeneration and permutation, clearly relishing in the aftermath of ‘Prosthetics’. Across four tracks, Van Boom crafts precisely to forge a set of works that are attached to their live performance state. It’s here that the EP is at home, for this is where unknowns come into play, this is where distortion leads to novel structures. Featuring collaborations with whiterose, Safety Trance, and Evita Manji, ‘NUBORNE’ is rendered evermore atypical. Accompanying the shift in design, there’s an unnerving ambience that’s given free reign across the EP, too. Snapshots of solitude prick the focal points amongst rhythmic tics, as if these shards deform the tracks in real time. With sheer relentless momentum, Van Boom seizes a new path wielding his familiar forces.

Anthony Linell's Lundin Oil project suggests a politic and an aesthetic in one swift movement. We may make certain deductions about each, but we must work backwards from where they meet. Through the brutalising industrial mechanisms to which titles cryptically allude, we are given an exponentially urgent image of devastation. This is projected, pitch-perfectly, into a rapacious and erosive aural demonstration that barely meet metrical demands. Exploit Divisions, the first Lundin Oil release since 2016, redoubles this threatening realisation. The album pivots between seismic static waves and jagged rhythmic noise, seeking a wider vantage with melodic drone ensembles. A ferocious departure from his primary work, Exploit Divisions is a purposeful reminder of the savagery of brevity.

In two halves, tiers of synthetic materials are layered into sullen reveries with organic components and concrète treatments, and as the obscurity of their genesis reaches a crescendo, these delicate and foreboding compositions find further means of communication the more they blister and bloom.
